JEFFERSON COUNTY SHERIFF

Owner or legal representative (proof required) must get a release from Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department at 801 Richard Arrington Boulevard, Room 506, Birmingham or any JCSD substation. All towing fees, daily storage fees, and other fines must be paid (cash only) to obtain a release. Bring the release and receipt to 952 Alton Pkwy, Birmingham, AL 35210 to retrieve your vehicle. The owner or legal representative may retrieve paperwork only (proof of ownership) from vehicle prior to obtaining a release. Without proof of insurance, the vehicle must be towed from our lot.

Additional Information

An impounded vehicle release is required from the municipality that ordered the impound. Anytime Express Towing & Recovery representatives cannot release a vehicle or any property contained within the vehicle without the proper documentation, as listed above. In special circumstances, the municipality may grant a Property Release, to allow removal of items before the fines are paid. Some municipalities will allow a Anytime Express Towing & Recovery employee to accompany the owner to the vehicle to remove proof of ownership and insurance paperwork. The employee will only be able to remove the appropriate documentation. No other paperwork or items may be removed that does not aid in the release of the vehicle.

   Requirements for obtaining a release:

          – Proof of Ownership

          – Proof of Insurance

          – Driver’s License

Vehicles must be driven or towed (at the owner’s expense) from the lot. No vehicle may be repaired on Anytime Express property. Without proof of insurance, the vehicle must be towed from our lot.
